Today, the Korean company Samsung announced the release of two MP3-players, YP-R2 and YP-Z3, with support for the Melon service and the MP3HD format. The new standard offers better sound quality (MP3HD format allows you to play audio files with a bit rate of 500-900 Kbps), and the largest online music store in South Korea (Melon) provides access to 2.2 million music creations.
The players use the original sound enhancement technology Samsung SoundAliveTM. Both models, R2 and Z3, are designed not only for listening to music, but also for viewing multimedia content on a WQVGA – display with support for 5.1-channel audio. The thickness of the body of the player is 8.6 mm, and the weight is 52 g.
Unfortunately, nothing is known about prices and release dates.
