LG announced the launch of a virtual voice assistant in Korea, which will compete with the Apple Siri and Samsung S Voice services. The service uses natural language processing technology, which facilitates user communication with a smartphone.
By default, Quick Voice will support at least 11 applications, including access to basic phone features, email, address book, alarm clock, and calendar. As well as competitors, Quick Voice offers the search for routes by maps, weather, stock reports and web search. It is not yet clear whether the voice assistant can find restaurants in which you can hold a good buffet , as Siri does.
The LG Quick Voice service will be included in the June update for Optimus Vu. Smartphone Optimus LTE 2 will receive its voice assistant in July.
