Headphones, which will be discussed today, some music fans have been waiting for more than three years. Even during the announcement of the first two-driver reinforcement model DBA-02 (even without the Mk II index), Fischer Audio also announced a variant using three radiators. Wait for release (so dubbed the model) had a few years, but the result paid off.

The Fischer Audio DBA-02 model, built on the well-known Knowles TWFK dual emitter, was well received by the community. A little work on the bugs was carried out in the second revision, which received a new housing, wire and bundle. All this time, TBAs were in the process of refinement and refinement, because in Fischer Audio they never ran after the momentary fashion, developing their own understanding of sound. Package and Delivery
The box is already familiar to us from the model DBA-02 Mk II, the same almost cubic “boxes” made of thick cardboard, only the color differs, red instead of orange. Inside, too, everything is familiar: the same gray rubber that holds the headphones, under it in the depths of the box - what comes in the package.
In addition to the headphones themselves, you will receive:
- nine different pairs of nozzles (although I would advise you to immediately buy a nozzle from Comply)

- standard for Fischer Audio case for storage and carrying
On the one hand, there are no special frills, on the other hand, everything you need for comfortable use of headphones is there.
Design and wearing comfort
In terms of appearance, TBAs again refer to the past, during the time of the first DBA model. Despite the fact that the design of the case has changed, the commonality of these models can be guessed quite clearly. The new model was made in an interesting contrast of white and black glossy plastic, the forms and fonts used for some reason reminded me of a retro style, I don’t know, maybe this was the idea, maybe this is my imagination, but it looks very, very unusual compared to most modern ones identical headphones.
The elongated body was designed unambiguously for behind-the-ear wearing, so the narrow and long sound guides are angled far forward. With proper selection of nozzles, headphones are very comfortable to sit in your ears and hold there easily, without causing the slightest discomfort. In general, the convenience of wearing - this is one of the best models that I have tried. Sound insulation is also at a very decent level.
The wire is the same as in the first DBA model - twisted, in conventional insulation. I like it since the time when I went with Meelectornics A151, it is very practical, it has little microphone, does not dubet in the cold and is very durable. The only drawback is that it doesn’t fit the ears that are included in the kit, they are designed more like a flat wire DBA-02 Mk II.
Sound

The first thing you need to do when you buy a TBA is to take care of the correct fit. Like many other headphones with long sound guides, TBAs are very sensitive to this. Of the complete nozzles, the ones that most suited me were those that were put on the headphones from the box, although they sound best with foamy nozzles from Comply.
You should also understand that these headphones have three rebar drivers installed, so a player is recommended for them, firstly, with low output impedance, secondly, with a good resolution, which will allow TBA to show its merits.
After proper selection of nozzles and adjustment of fit in the ears, TBA are revealed with the best hand. My first opinion was “refined and optimized DBA-shki”, but after listening a little longer, I realized that the sound of a TBA is still different, it is not about refinement, but about complete processing.
Headphones are smooth, very smooth in terms of frequency response, at least by ear. There are no pronounced peaks or dips, but they do not break down into dull monitor dryness.
The bass is worked out much better than in the DBA: it is tighter and more informative, you can hear beats, clicks - everything that the instruments of the lower register play. It is worth noting that if you listen to very brutal genres of music and are accustomed to the bass of dynamic headphones, then in the TBA low frequencies you may not be enough, but the point is not that they are not enough, but that the headphones do not merge the bass into a single background, because of this, there is an "unusual" sound. In other music genres that do not imply this “wall of sound”, there is no such effect, and the low frequencies immediately play exactly the way you want to hear them.
The mids were and remain the strength of the multi-driver headphones from Fischer Audio, it is logical that TBAs are no exception. The "middle" of the three drivers is very pleasant, musical and lively. The vocals and most of the instruments will please the listener with the effect of “realism” and show the main advantages of the reinforcement technology.
Upper frequencies also failed. In TBA there is no sharpness and some tendency to sibilance of their two-driver relatives, HF detailed, even, they are enough to give the desired lightness to the music, but not enough for tiresome sharpness.
Due to the high resolution, the headphones are well able to convey the positioning of sounds and the character of each individual instrument, dividing them among themselves.
Compatibility
Of course, you can listen to TBA with “simple” sound sources, but I highly recommend not doing this: first, with some players they start to sound very harsh, even unpleasant, and secondly, smear it with mayonnaise sandwich - you can eat, but all meaning is lost.
So, if you are thinking about buying serious headphones and turned your attention to TBA - keep in mind that you will also need the appropriate player (good now in the price segment of up to $ 200 a serious competitive struggle unfolds and there are several interesting models).

Headphones TBA turned out good at Fischer. But we have to admit that this choice is not for everyone: the considerable price, the need for a good source and high-quality recordings translate them into the category of headphones for music lovers. But if you are looking for headphones in order to take a step up the stairs of high-quality sound - this is a very good candidate for a purchase. By the way, if you wish, you can customize them by making a case on the imprints of your ears, and get very, very good "custom".
