I like music very much. Periodically looking through the latest videos of random musicians on YouTube, I often come across very curious pieces. As, for example, a clip in which the frontman of the French band In The Canopy Joaquim Muller sings the same song in 15 different rooms, then cut from this wonderful video without using any sound filters or post-processing.
Reverberation is the process of gradually reducing the intensity of sound with its multiple reflections from surrounding surfaces. I think that many of you have encountered reverb settings in music players, computer programs for sound processing and so on. Despite the fact that with the help of software algorithms you can create a complete illusion of a particular room when playing sound, the authors of this video did not use any special effects during the shooting. The sound was recorded "as is", so the reverb in this case is completely natural.
Two different gyms, a small living room, an attic, a church, a shower room, a tunnel, an open space, a catacomb, an underground garage, an empty pool, a forest and even a sound recording studio whose walls are covered with a special sound-absorbing coating were chosen as the locations for the shooting. You can see the results of this experiment yourself by watching the video below.
