Wandering through the vast expanses of AliExpress and looking at all the variety of products presented there, one can feel like a visitor in the eastern bazaar - the goods are inexpensive, lying just loose, and you can even bargain for it. The main thing is to find something worthwhile in all these ruins. I've (not without tips on the Internet) found interesting inexpensive headphones (three models) from the manufacturer Tenmak, about which I want to tell. As a bonus, I'll tell you how you can get them even cheaper.
Tennmak - a typical Chinese brand of the new wave with a wide range of everything, starting from pretty good replicas of famous models such as Sennheiser IE800 and ending with the original operating time. It was on the latter that I concentrated, having ordered three models: Dulcimer, Porcelain and Clarinet. In order to save on delivery, two headphones out of three were sent to me in a so-called "bulk" package - a simple package with a delivery kit consisting only of replaceable attachments. In my opinion, a smart enough option that allows you not to pay for the box, if it is not needed (and it is not needed for budget headphones almost never).
Clarinet
A surprising example of how in China can make a very cheap product for minimal money: . The quality of its performance is appropriate: the body is made of simple glossy plastic, although of an interesting shape, wire in silicone braid, although reinforced for strength by Kevlar thread, in general - everything is as budgetary as possible. "Clarinets" are in two colors to choose from: white-red and white-gray.
The funny thing is that you can listen to headphones in general. They have a little bit of bass (despite the graph of the frequency response, which says the opposite), a fairly intelligible middle and moderately sharp HF. Of course, not the limit of dreams, but for $ 12 they are very good genres that do not imply an emphasis on LF. Naturally, there are all the features of inexpensive headphones - such as unnatural metal HF, but looking at the price tag, I do not cease to wonder - as for this money you can do something and sell with profit for yourself, especially Clarinet sound much better than headphones similar price category.
Dulcimer
The following headphones are an example of what Chinese manufacturers can do if the budget amounts to a "huge" amount of $ 27, . There are already all the elements of the "luxurious life" - a metal case of its own design, a flat wire-noodles to combat entanglement and even a headset for smartphones. My specimen was made in bronze-white colors, but there is still a very good looking silvery-red.
These are the only headphones that came to me in the box, everything is usually there: a quality box of cardboard with a closing cover on magnets, inside - a cover and replaceable attachments: more than those worn on the headphones, and smaller. In general, no surprises. With these headphones, I still picked up a set of interchangeable attachments, - silicone nozzles with stiffeners inside. They themselves cost slightly more than $ 8, but one set can be obtained for free. For this model, these attachments turned out to be very useful, as they emphasize their strong side: the bass and the beginning of the mid-range.
And the sound of "Tsymbal" (this is how the name of the model is translated) turned out to be surprisingly good for the price. Clearly allocated bass, balanced midrange, in general - there is even no special justification for any disadvantages at the price.
The bass is good in depth and quantity, it is controlled and almost does not clog the middle frequencies, creating a tangible substrate for the rest of the music. On heavily bass melodies, it's even a little too much for my taste, but lovers of tangible punch in electronic music will certainly be satisfied.
The middle frequencies are legible and not bad for the price detailed. Dulcimer convey the emotions and character of the instruments in a way that many brand models did not even dream about. The scene, of course, is not the most extensive, but the instruments retain their character and are well separated.
High frequencies are set aside, so as not to create fatigue and not to interfere with LFs to do their thing, but they are not completely disastrous, as they like to do in inexpensive dark headphones. In Dulcimer, they are and even happy with a good resolution.
In general, a very good option for fans of sound with a moderate emphasis on bass.
Porcelain
Perhaps, this model pleased me the most. , but at the same time pleases both the appearance and, oddly enough, the sound. Headphones are quite unusual shape, according to the manufacturer, their body is made of metal, covered with porcelain, which is reflected in the name. I do not know if this is true, but the hull is really similar to porcelain. There are also several variations that differ in the color of the ring insert on the body and the color of the cable. The latter in Porcelain is also flat with a headset.
The sound is not saved, the headphones sound close to the "standard" V-shape frequency response, without special distortions and irregularities.
They have less bass than Dulcimer, but it's enough to create the right mood for most tunes, it's legible, well controlled and served. Slightly pumped up the depth, if for you it's critical - look towards Dulcimer.
Middle frequencies are slightly omitted, so the sound is relaxed, but not critical, the emotionality of the vocals and the nature of the instruments are preserved. Most genres of music succeed Porcelain very well.
The high frequencies are slightly emphasized, this adds to the compositions of bulk and airiness where necessary.
Of all the trio, it was Porcelain that proved to be the most universal genre and unpretentious to the source.
