During the crisis, you can not but sharply understand how high in the Maslow pyramid there are high-quality audio devices, many people manage to allocate less money for good headphones. Fortunately, Chinese manufacturers are pleased with the periodic release of very inexpensive, but interesting and high-quality models. These include TTPOD T2, which I will tell about this time.
TTPOD is a manufacturer, interesting in that there are no "simple" headphones in their model line. Their debut was a model with two dynamic radiators, on the basis of which they made several modifications. Without relaxing, they decided to continue the hybrid headphones. Most interestingly, in T2, they used a non-paired reinforcing radiator, as do almost all other manufacturers, but two separate receivers, each of which is responsible for its frequency range. Accordingly, for the three drivers, a crossover was calculated.
Another, pleasantly surprised moment, was the price. While other manufacturers are asking for similar headphones at least $ 200, it is possible for the equivalent of 100 y. e., which is very, very good considering all the characteristics of these headphones. The appearance of the box immediately inspires understanding that the headphones are much better than the price that they are asked for. "You were deceived! You put much more valuable fur! "Flat square packaging made of white cardboard with stylish iridescent lines on the lid and restrained printing looks very cool. The box from the factory is sealed in film, so the buyer can be sure that no one before him has opened it.
Inside, neatly separated in the compartments lie the headphones themselves, 6 pairs of silicone attachments (with wide and narrow sound guides), a pair of foam nozzles, a pair of ear clips, a snow-white velvet bag and a set of stickers that you can use to customize your TTPODs.
In general, the delivery package excludes even the thought that something is missing.
Design and comfortable wearing
The appearance of the headphones is very interesting. They are made of plastic in a "faceted" case, very similar to the VSonic VSD3, except for a bit more in size. As with VSonic, this case played a malicious joke with the headphones, and far from all ears they sit down normally due to the size. If you are the owner of small ears - it is better to preliminarily try them on. However, this is perhaps their only drawback.
The company decided to please users with a variety of colors, headphones are available in both single-color versions and in two-color versions: one earphone is gray, and the other is colored. The colors are bright and look very attractive.
Through the translucent body you can see the complex internal structure of T2 and the thoroughness with which the Chinese manufacturer approached their design. Even the crossover is assembled on a separate printed circuit board using high-quality components. The build quality is very good for 100-dollar headphones, although the seam between the halves of the hull makes it clear that it's not worthwhile hitting them.
Separate kind words deserve a cable. Usually such wires are flaunted by expensive custom models of famous manufacturers. A bright white wire in silicone braid, very flexible, not noisy, almost not hardening in the frost and not prone to tangling, in general - the dream of any headphones of dollars to 400. Unfortunately, it is not replaceable. It is clear that TTPOD T2 is too good for its price, and to require them to also replace the cable - obviously bust. But you can dream. The cable outlet from the headphones is reinforced with metal inserts. The splitter and the plug are very high quality and look great.
Except for the size, there are no claims for the headset to be planted, with proper selection of attachments, they are no problem rushing for at least a whole day, the rear-seat landing facilitates this. Sound insulation at a typical form factor, it is enough for almost any conditions, except the most noisy.

In general, TTPOD T2 gives exactly the sound that we are used to expect from hybrid headphones. Why do they use a combination of different radiators? Dynamic driver is responsible for LF and gives the same energy and punch, which most often the armature can not play. Drivers with a balanced anchor are responsible for medium and high frequencies, where you do not need to pump large volumes of air, but you need detail and high resolution. These headphones show all this: the feed is characteristic of taste, with accents where it is most pleasing to the ear. In general, by sound, they bypass many popular hybrid models with price tags from $ 200 and higher.
The bass is energetic, elastic and very "tasty." He slightly (really slightly) lacks the resolution inherent in reinforcement drivers, but this is more than compensated by his percussiveness. Electronic music, rock sound just fine, bass drops and a big barrel do their job, crushing the eardrums.
Medium frequencies seem a bit overshadowed, because of the emphasis on LF and HF, but after adapting to the manner of feeding these headphones, you realize that in fact they are all right with this portion of the range. Dedicated to him, the radiator is good at its task, emotions are preserved and transmitted properly, the instruments sound very natural. There are all those subtle nuances of records that allow you to listen to your favorite tracks over and over again, finding something new in them.
High frequencies are very detailed, with good length. This gives the compositions volume and pleasant airiness. Attenuation of notes, barely audible air movements, higher octaves of instruments - all this is in the sound of TTPOD T2.
Headphones are traditionally for hybrids well convey an imaginary scene, creating a pleasing volume effect, sometimes even where it does not exist in the original recording.
Compatibility
For TTPOD T2, a source that controls well the LF is very desirable, otherwise it is possible to surpass them. With smartphones and tablets, they behave not in the best way, because the HF becomes unnecessarily sharp, and the bass is blurred. It is desirable that the source for them has a near-zero impedance, but almost all modern players and DACs meet this condition.
Genre headphones are quite versatile, although there, where you need maximum legibility, you should pay attention to purely reinforcing models. In the same styles, where the combination of vigorous bass and legible MF / HF is important, TTPOD T2 shows itself perfectly.
conclusions
Just great headphones, except for the size of the case, they are good on all sides. Sound, design, delivery kit, cable - all at an incredibly high level. Given the quite democratic price in the region of $ 100 - I can only recommend them to fans of driving sound in every possible way, TTPOD's serious and thoughtful approach to building its model line inspires confidence, I look forward to their future models. By the way, judging by the inscription on the box, soon the light will see also the model T2 Pro, but how it will differ is not yet clear.
