Hybrid headphones, combining a dynamic radiator with one or more reinforcing bars, are gaining popularity in the last year, because in attempts to create an interesting sound, manufacturers are putting more and more experiments. Not surprisingly, Fidue also introduced the A83 hybrid model, which will be covered by the story.
The company Fidue appeared on the market very recently, but immediately "took off on the spot", without wasting any precious time. In less than one year, they released a line of headphones, which other companies are unable to imagine in five years. Starting with good budget models such as A63 and not at all budget A81, they quickly expanded the product line, experimenting with unusual configurations. I recently wrote about their experience with dual dynamic emitters A71, but they made the flagship based on the hybrid scheme.
In theory, the configuration of the radiators in the A83 is standard: a 10-mm dynamic radiator for low frequencies and a dual emitter based on the balanced anchor technology for the "middle" and higher. In practice, however, the differences are traditionally covered in detail, such as the calculations of the separation filter, a specially designed three-dimensional chamber for placing emitters and a high-quality cable from silvered copper.
The price of headphones is at a level comparable to other similar models, and at the time of the release of the review the official reseller could be for 22 900 rubles.

Packing and delivery kit
On the size of the box for the flagship in Fidue decided not to save. It is quite large, primarily due to the length. Inside there are two inserts of foamed cellophane, holding a plastic case with headphones. In one of the two inserts in the groove are the complete accessories. In general, the package obviously did not save, it could well be smaller in size, not at the expense of perception.
What is included, in addition to headphones and a plastic cover? In the box there are: an adapter for 6.3 mm, traditional three pairs of single-lobed attachments, two pairs of double-lobed, pair of foam Comply, an adapter for airplanes and a variety of recycled paper.
In general, taking into account the excellent plastic case in the supply set - everything is just fine.
Design and comfortable wearing
Above appearance in Fidue worked well. The design was simultaneously interesting and convenient. The headphones are made of translucent plastic (the left earpiece is blue, the right is red), the outer side is made of metal. Of course, for such a price it would be possible to make the body and all-metal, but this would negatively affect the weight, and in addition, in the frost the metal case unpleasantly cold your ears (although hardly in Fidue thought about the weather).
The cable of the A83 is interchangeable, standard MMCX connectors are used, so if you decide to suddenly replace it, there will be no problems. Although it is unlikely you will have such a desire, the complete wire is incredibly high quality. It is made of silvered copper, very light and flexible, looks great, gets confused, does not harden in the cold and practically does not microphone (primarily due to the BTE wear). MMCX-connectors of the standard cable are equipped with small protrusions, so it does not rotate in the connector, as is often the case with models from other manufacturers. The patches near the connectors are made with a memory effect, this allows them to bend them, forming convenient zaushiny. The splitter is specially weighted so that the cable takes its place without trying to twist. Plug - straight, sustained in one style with headphones. Like the splitter block, it is made in such a way as to protect the cable as much as possible from damage due to kinks.
Headphones are very comfortable to wear, if you pick up the nozzles correctly, the soundproofing is also good, especially when using double nozzles.

Before listening to the headphones were warmed for 48 hours.
It's funny how different companies, having at the entrance to virtually the same set of radiators, create absolutely different headphones at the output. Dunu with and DN-2000 tried to achieve as much as possible even sound, without accents, without highlighting unnecessary and without focusing on the dynamic radiator. On the other hand, there are T-PEOS with their three-driver models, specifically emphasizing LF and HF. In this model Fidue went their own way, clearly understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the hybrid scheme, tried to emphasize the first and neutralize the latter. Not trying to build from the hybrids headphones with a neutral and even sound, they did everything to make the sound of the A83 as "interesting" and musical as possible. Their frequency response is very uneven, since task A83 "deceive" the hearing, and they are very successful, the headphones seems to be voluminous and natural (which is surprising if you look at the charts). These hybrids transmit music as a single canvas, without trying to separate it into components.
The bass is good in a lot, it is elastic and pleasantly drayvovy. Control of the bass is not perfect, but not bad. In Fidue decided that once you put a dynamic radiator, then he should do what is expected of him - beat, create an elastic effect and emphasize the pressure. On electronic music it sounds just great, but other genres will benefit from such a bass. The depth of the low-frequency is not prohibitive, and the A83 is losing, for example, DN-2000, but for the percussiveness of the bass - it can be forgiven.
Medium frequencies are detailed and emotional, the bass does not drown them, so they perfectly convey everything that is put into the record. The main problem with the A83 is that they are sensitive to poor recordings of female vocals, so the tracks may have to be selected. A83 create a very good volume effect, giving realism to the records, the instruments are well separated and retain their character.
Despite the unequal unevenness of HF, their overall perception is not bad, except for again poor-quality tracks and bright sources. If you are sensitive to the upper frequencies, it's better not to take risks, but, for my taste, the HF of the A83 is quite good. They are well controlled, they add volume and airiness to recordings, while not tire of excessive brightness.
Compatibility
Headphones normally play with most sources, including smartphones and tablets, but use the A83 with similar devices - in vain to squander the potential of these headphones. They need a source with good control of all frequencies, especially low frequencies to reveal the full potential.
Headphones are critical to recording quality, so it's better not to save here.

Another very interesting hybrid model, released on the market. From its competitors it is distinguished by a very comfortable case, the presence of a replaceable cable and a pleasant musical sound with a voluminous and dynamic sound.
