In any market, much is determined by fashion and trends, headphones are no exception. Popular in recent years, the format of hybrid models continues to evolve in 2016, dictating, among other things, the sound of similar solutions. Typical hybrids in our time - this is a characteristic V-shaped AFC with a powerful bass and bright HF. Such a pitch sounds effective, but often tires quickly. Therefore, models with unusual sound tuning, like Primacy from Oriveti, are of genuine interest.
The format of the three-door hybrids, launched by the 200 model T-PEOS and Dunu DN-1000, became very popular and was developed in the face of new models Dunu, Sony and Fidue. The idea to combine the strengths of different radiators is gaining more and more supporters. The dynamic driver provides a powerful and powerful bass, while the armature takes on the middle and high frequencies. The same scheme was actually implemented by Oriveti, but their delivery is characterized by unusual relaxation and comfort. In combination with an excellent design and a complete set of supplies, this gives an interesting model of the middle segment, justifying its price tag of $ 300. In Ukraine , but this is justified by the availability of a guarantee, delivery and no need for intermediaries.

Packing and delivery kit
The box of this model looks quite typical for modern models: dense black cardboard, restrained printing, all this we have already seen. There are already pleasant surprises under the lid. The headphones themselves lie on top of the pseudo-medium from the pseudobarhat, it also acts as a large coil, on which the wire is wound. We remove this part, underneath it neatly disassembled accessories are found, for each of them a separate nest is provided.
Of the nozzles in the kit includes two pairs of "foams" and two pairs of silicone tips to four different sizes (small, medium, large, and e and b more about lshie). Also in the box were found: earhooks, a cleaning tool, an adapter for a 6.3 mm connector, an "aerial" adapter for two separate 3.5 mm plugs and a very stylish black metal case for storing headphones and accessories.
Design and comfortable wearing
Appearance really succeeded Oriveti. I saw these headphones in photos, but in reality they were smaller than in the images, it's even surprising that in such thin and small cases there are three radiators and a crossover, but the fact remains. The headphones are made of metal, but due to their small size they are light, and the nice rounded shape allows them to sit down almost without any problems in almost any ears. Owners of the smallest ear conchs can be handled by cable connectors, but the headphones sat without any problems. If your pillow is soft enough, you can even put your head on your side, Primacy almost completely hidden in the auricle. First of all, the headphones are designed for breezing, but by swapping the wires, they can be planted and traditionally, cable down.
The quality of assembly, printing of logos and everything else, as for the appearance, is at an altitude. Thoughtful and small details such as relief points on the connector of the left wire, which allows you to use the headphones to touch.
The wire for Primacy is interchangeable, MMCX connectors are used. A twisted, complete cable is of normal quality, although it is inferior to top models. It is made in black silicone insulation, soft enough, little inclined to tangling, almost no noise from friction about clothes (with no breezing worn at all), does not harden in the cold. The role of the splitter is played by the usual heat shrinkage, the plug is straight and fairly compact. Oriveti , it looks better in its transparent Teflon insulation, and the silvered litz used in it, inspires confidence. I was not particularly adept at connecting the headphones to the complete cable from Campfire Audio.
Worn Primacy very comfortable, and with the right selection of attachments soundproofing - one of the best among headphones of this form factor.

Before listening to the headphones were warmed for 48 hours.
Developers Oriveti rightly thought that to compete with the existing titans of the hybrid market - the task is rather tricky, so they decided to offer users an unusual sound that others do not. Serving Primacy - softer than traditional models of this category, it is more smooth and relaxed. Naturally, this does not go to the detriment of sound. In general, looking at the graphs of the frequency response of these headphones available on the Web, it seems to me that they have been specially tuned for the necessary result. The presentation of these headphones resembles your favorite home slippers: you put on - and immediately comfortable and convenient.
LF accentuated in the midbass region, where they do everything you expect from a hybrid model: they beat energy, roar with rumbles, tickle the ear with pleasant texture. But at the same time, LFs do not overdo with leaving in depth, there is sub-bass, but there are not many quantitative ones, and this is a reasonable enough decision. Realistically, when you first listen, the dense roar of the lowest frequencies produces a pleasant impression, but after 15 minutes it often starts to tire, especially on music that is not strongly bass oriented. In the case of Primacy this is clearly not there, the sub-bass outlines its presence, but does not come to the fore, this is facilitated by a decrease in the frequency response by about 5 dB. Midbass is short of everything: both quantity and quality. He does not try to show miracles of reinforcement speed, but clearly does not turn into a droning amorphous mass of typical basshead models. LF here have a small fraction of the "fat", thanks to this, these headphones are particularly good at bass guitar parts, and drum kits leave a pleasant feeling of realism.
Medium frequencies do not even produce an effect of reinforcement sound at first, Primacy does not try to baffle the listener with a bunch of disparate details and pull out the sound of the sound engineer's chair and drop the saliva of the vocalist onto the microphone. The strength of Oriveti's debut model is the unity and monumentality of the presentation. Of course, the smallest nuances in this case are lost, but in general, the details are more than enough for immersion in music. Vocals are especially good at these headphones, the section from 1 to 2 kHz has a rise of about 6 dB relative to the 700 Hz - 1 kHz section, which, in my opinion, balances the delivery of male and female voices. After the peak at 1.5 kHz, a sharp decline begins, made for maximum sharpening. This approach worked, although it had a negative effect on the feeling of airiness and lightness, Primacy sounds a little dark, an imaginary scene at an average level. The depth is, surprisingly, more than average, this is good for headphones. Tools have a good volume and are well positioned.
The high frequencies in the performance of this model are distinguished by very good detail, but they are noticeably highlighted in the background. So unloved by many sites in 5 kHz is carefully dropped somewhere by 12-13 dB, which actually leaves no chance of harshness and sibilants (with the exception of very lousy tracks). At the same time around 8 kHz, a neat spike is made, thanks to which different plates, percussions and other tender instruments are well delineated and quite present in the recording. In general, Orivetti listened to those who are always "sawed" and made headphones with regard to their interests.
Since the Primacy is distinguished by a kind of feed, I see no reason to write about their comparison with other models, more often it will be reduced to the words that "it sounds quite different", and in the case of most hybrid models, these headphones are their complete opposite.
Compatibility
This model has a rather low impedance and very good sensitivity, which obviously hints at the fact that they need a good source with low noise and the same low output impedance. Of course, it's worth taking into account and the selected high-frequency, so the headphones do not fit very dark sources. There is also little sense in bright sources, why remove the strongest aspects of this model? I personally liked the combination of these ears with Qustyle QP1r and HiSound Audio S6 (an amazing general player, you have to write about it).
Genre headphones are very versatile, but they are more suitable for styles with a "taste" feed: rock, metal, jazz. The situation with academic vocal, chamber music, classics is a little worse. By the way, I want to say a few words about heavy metal. In the previous review of the Echobox Finder X1, I said that they are good for metal, Primacy, opposite X1 to the sound, I also liked this style. At first glance, there is a contradiction here, but in fact, I really like both options. Finder X1 is anger, snarling guitars, a screaming vocalist, threshing hammers, aggression, in places balancing on the verge of exhaustion. Primacy is power, monumentality and impressiveness, but without hint of sharpness. If, for example, Finder is good extreme Slayer, then with Primacy cool "go" Behemoth, crushing everything in the way of a wave of darkness.

Ghost - Cirice. Perhaps, it's not even fair, this melody is just created for these headphones. Powerful percussion, slightly heavier guitars, intonationally rich vocals - all Primacy play out as expected, rolling on the listener with a wave of sound and demonstrating why this album was received last year by Grammy.
Sigurdur Rögnvaldsson's Dark Forest - Giant Firefly. If some psychiatric doctors undertook to diagnose musicians for their work, then I'm afraid the results of this Icelander would be very sad. Prior to acquaintance with his work, I had little idea that jazz-rock can give out madness comparable in level with the best examples of progressive bleach. But the fact remains, it is possible, and it sounds just great. Especially in headphones, able to accurately submit such a complex canvas as a single whole.
Mekong Delta - Sphere Eclipse. Geniuses of the technical tresh genre were incredibly unlucky with the quality of the recordings. Virtually all of their work up to 2010 is recorded so badly that all the genius of this collective is lost. Rare earphones approach these records as well as the heroes of the review. Thanks to them the porridge on the HF goes to the background, leaving us the opportunity to enjoy powerful reefs, unexpected melodic moves and great musicians playing.

How to stand out from the general background, if you are a beginner? Naturally, bet on the surprise, as did Oriveti. It's worth admitting that with Primacy it did it well, the model bribes with design and small dimensions, and the sound - obviously will find its connoisseurs, and the target audience of this model is very large.
