Brainwavz likes to periodically lower the price level of its headphones, releasing more and more budget models. It was about two and a half years after the release of their previous budget model Delta, and the company decided to launch an even more affordable option - Omega, which cost even less.
Of course, now on Aliexpress you can find tons of different headphones in the price category "up to $ 20" (the recommended price of Omega is $ 15), but buying similar headphones is akin to a lottery. Sometimes you can get something good, but not always. That's why headphones from the manufacturer, more or less proven in the market, are always interesting.
Brainwavz did not try to save on matches, so Omega came out very good for its price: a metal case, a normal wire, the presence of a headset, and even the sound turned out to be quite good within its price.

Design and Convenience
Appearance, of course, is simple, but it is not entirely primitive. The main body of the headphones is made of metal, which makes Omega stand out against the background of plastic counterparts. The output of the cable from the earphone is reinforced with a large plastic insert. There are several options for its color registration, I have been dark red. Of course, plastic molding is not ideal, but the flaws are small enough.
Wire is typical for budget models Brainwavz, in silicone insulation. It hardens slightly in the cold and can make noise from rubbing against clothing. The latter problem is corrected by a breech landing and a complete clothespin. The splitter block and the plug are made sufficiently reliable and do not cause any suspicion of stickiness. The cable leading to the right ear housed a three-button headset for use with headphones with a mobile phone. By tradition, the volume buttons will work with Apple devices, the central button is universal.
The headphones are very small, so they fit comfortably in almost any ears, they can be worn and wireed down and behind-the-bows. With the correct selection of discomfort attachments, they do not deliver even with prolonged wearing. Sound insulation - on a typical average for such a form factor.

Before listening to the headphones were warmed for 48 hours, the result is, it is expected, did not.
In general, when evaluating the sound of this model, one must constantly make an amendment to the price tag. Omega is clearly a budget solution, without claims for "high-end". Therefore, the developers have made for them a typical V-shaped frequency response, most familiar to the human ear. The sound of this model is not audiophile, it's a solution for those who are very limited in finances, or do not want to spend much money.
Bass Omega is not very fast, but not smeared, like most budget models, somewhere halfway from the first state to the second. Quantitatively - it is a little accented, to create the effect of "pumping". In general, what is needed for simple styles, but for complex music - obviously will not do.
MFs are assigned to the second plan, but qualitatively more or less normal. This is not the case when you "hear new nuances of records", the resolution is certainly not prohibitive, but it is quite good for its price. The imaginary scene is slightly less than the average in width and is not large in depth.
The upper frequencies are simplified, but in Brainwavz we tried to make them not very sharp. With sharpness they managed to cope, at the cost of losing again microdetachment. But in this segment we should already say thank you for the fact that the RF was not completely removed.
Compatibility
Headphones, naturally, are made for smartphones and other simple sources. They play well with them, they have a headset, what else to dream about? Use with this model, the top players do not make much sense. Genre headphones are best suited for not complex modern music, that is what is popular with the target audience of the model: rap, pop, electronics, light rock. To the quality of recording Omega are tolerant, I would rate them somewhere on 4 points on a 10-point scale.
The headset microphone is of medium quality, if you bring it closer to your mouth while talking, you will be heard normally.
conclusions
It's always difficult for me to make a review of these headphones. I am definitely not the target audience for which they are designed, and therefore it is difficult to restrain from nitpicking, comparing them with another couple for $ 700 or more. But in fact Brainwavz Omega - quite good headphones for an unassuming listener, that he is looking for an absolutely inexpensive model with a headset for listening to your favorite music.
