Perhaps, the company Dunu especially not need to imagine. Starting as an OEM, they entered the market with their product line, quickly gaining popularity and winning their name. Now Dunu is engaged in basically different very complex constructions such as hybrid models. Recently they have taken a course for even more complication, and the first swallow of the new model line became the four-driver hybrids DN-2002.
These headphones are interesting in that they use two large dynamic radiators for transmission of bass and two "fittings" for mid and high frequencies. I do not know if the push-pull scheme was used here, as in the Trinity Saber, or they were simply turned on in parallel, but two 10-mm radiators are used in the design. Also Dunu moved away from their traditional sound and ottyuningovali headphones for another feed. This is all traditionally very qualitative. Of course, the price tag corresponds to all this, .

Packing and delivery kit
It's all about the way you expect to see from Dunu: a black box with a magnetic valve, sealed in plastic, on the front side - a photo of headphones, behind - TTX. Inside the pseudobarhat itself headphones and a plastic case with a latch containing accessories. A pair of Comply foams, 3 pairs of single-flange silicone attachments, ear clips, a clothes clip for a wire to the clothes, a 6.3 mm adapter and a bag with SpinFit nozzles of four sizes were attached.
As usual, I note SpinFit, really comfortable nozzles, providing a comfortable fit and most often positively affecting the sound.
In general, the delivery package is good, but before Dunu offered more baits (although simpler than SpinFit).
Design and comfort
The headphones are made in a round case with a very long smooth sound. On one side, a cylinder is attached to the body, containing a jack for the cable. For manufacturing a stylish combination of metal and plastic is used, the build quality is simply excellent, which can not be said about comfort. On the Internet, I saw a lot of complaints about boarding when using a BTE method of wearing. My headphones, in principle, sat almost without problems, it took only a little to get used to their fairly visible weight. Many owners of small ears complain about the discomfort that causes the part with the connector in the breezing. However, judging by the inscriptions and marking of channels on the case, Dunu generally planned these headphones for carrying the cable down. It looks, of course, a bit weird, but, in general, so DN-2002 sit comfortably. Simply put, this is the case when the headphones are worth trying on before buying.
Due to the long sound, DN-2002 is deep enough to sit in the ears and provide a good isolation above the average, it is enough for any environment except very noisy environment (although traditionally it all depends heavily on the selection of attachments). Unfortunately, the sound guide is made smooth, so in the future there may be problems with falling off attachments, as it was with DN-2000, although it may have been worked on by the company, time will tell.
If the headphones have approached you, then you can wear them comfortably enough for a long time.
The wire in this model is interchangeable, MMCX connectors are used, but in Dunu they made small protrusions on the plugs, which, on the one hand, protect the wire from rotation in the socket, and on the other - make the headphones not particularly compatible with other wires. However, to purchase cables for the DN-series of the company at dealers - not a problem. In Dunu they released an upgraded version of the cable (even with the Oyaide plug). The standard wire is traditionally not bad - in black rubberized insulation, it is soft enough, it does not harden almost in the cold, it gets confused, there is a microphone effect, but it is weakly expressed. The connectors are very reliable and hold the cable very well. As always, the wire has a rubber tongue for easy reeling.

Before listening to the headphones were warmed for 48 hours.
In DN-2002 Dunu took a step away from the sound that developed in the last generations of headphones and presented a new feed. I do not know if user feedback or anything else has affected this, but in DN-2002 the amount of HF has been reduced (although it is rumored that the same driver from Knowles as before) and plus the number of deep bass, to emphasize midbass. In addition, DN-2002 make a step forward in the coherence of the emitters, I hope the company will be able to repeat this in future models. Due to the fact that the drivers work very smoothly, it's very difficult to notice the vengeance of their "joints", and this is in favor of the whole sound of the model. In general, the most precise control of almost the entire range and high resolution are the main components in the DN-2002 feed.
The DN-2002 bass is very fast for dynamic radiators, but it is not dry and incorporeal, as is the case with reinforcement bars. LF here elastic, biting and clearly controlled. I do not know whether Dunu used a push-pull scheme or not, but initially from two dynamic woofers you expect an increased number of LFs, but this hope is not justified. Moreover, DN-2002 has noticeably weakened deep low frequencies, the focus is on the midbass region, I think it was done intentionally, as the model is clearly oriented to live musical instruments, and they do not go deeper than midbass almost never. At the same time, the area of medium low and high is pleasing with texture and refinement, adding to the sound an ideal amount of heat and weight.
The middle of this model is even better than previous hybrids. In terms of resolution and speed characteristics, MF basically remained approximately at the level of DN-2000J (which is very good), but in 2002 the sharpness of HF and HF was reduced, so MFs are perceived more musically and emotionally. I think, it is not even worth talking about the excellent detailing and virtuosic transfer of nuances in this model. Headphones can easily cope with vocals and timbre-rich instruments, playing them out with full representation. The imaginary scene is larger than the average in width and depth, but to a record level it does not hold out, which, however, is suitable for submitting this model. Instruments are transmitted with a realistic size and just as well positioned.
The HF in DN-2002 took a small step back even with respect to DN-2000, which in turn were more restrained on the HF than the DN-2000J, apparently, the company realized that uncompromising and super-detailed HFs are not suitable for all listeners. Of course, on the one hand, it made the sound darker and removed some airiness and attenuation from it, on the other hand - it allowed to emphasize the MF and make them more musical. Headphones are easier to treat poor-quality records, although they are still critical enough to them. However, DN-2002 is still not suitable for those who do not like realistic high-frequency, because here the upper frequency range is still present in sufficient quantity. Headphones are very good at HF, with both attacks and damping, thanks to this, different percussion instruments acquire excellent realism.
Compatibility
Connect this model to smartphones or tablets of meaning is very small, they need a good player with excellent resolution and at the same low noise level, because 10Ω impedance and good sensitivity with no small chance will show you the noise source. Luckily, a lot of suitable players have appeared recently.
Genre headphones I would recommend for music that requires permission and technical level from headphones: rock, quality metal, jazz, classics, chamber music, vocals and so on. For simple genres and electronic music, they do not fit very well. To the quality of recording, they are very sensitive, somewhere on 8 points on a 10-point scale.

Caravan Palace - Lazy Place . A beautiful song, filled with many small details - creaking, background noise, lightest percussion - it's all quite difficult to play, especially headphones-plugs. DN-2002 cope with the transfer of this entire wealth with almost standard accuracy.
Pink Floyd - Up the Khyber . Unsuccessfully bypassed by the soundtrack to the unusual film More, most fully reveals the psychedelic period of the band. The amazing talent of PF creators to create harmony from chaos is present in this track, but, of course, only with perfect reproduction can you fully hear all the nuances of this composition.

Music, in principle, is not very complicated, but it is quite saturated, so here and the speed and detail of the DN-2002 allow you to immerse yourself in the alarming atmosphere of 1989, when the only thing that could be countered by the events - the principle of "love me like no one ever loved ... conclusions
If you throw aside the problems with the landing, the Dunu headphones are very successful. DN-2002 offer a different, more adult concept of sound, there are no typical "wow-factors" such as a super-high deep bass and bright HF emphasizing detail. These hybrids are very fast, very technical headphones, offering realism and naturalness for most genres of complex music. Of course, these headphones will not suit those who do not appreciate the natural sound and are accustomed to the painted pitch, but they were clearly created for another target audience.
