The Elements series is presented by two headphones: full-size Over-Ear and overhead On-Ear - the latter just appeared in our edition. They are packed, I must admit, in the best traditions of premium headphones: a stylish black box that hides the headphones themselves in a special case and something else, including a personal appeal from the head of the company. It seems to be a trifle, but still nice - a personal approach, so to speak.
What is in the box
Yes, the bundle with one headphone is not limited. Besides the mentioned carrying case, in the box we found a cloth for wiping, an analog audio cable and a USB cable for transferring digital audio and charging the device, yet the headphones are wireless. Folding design is definitely a plus, convenient to transport, and does not take up much space in the bag.
Design
On-Ear have an interesting streamline shape and luxurious, we will not be afraid of this word, finish. Ergonomic headband with a soft insert, leather foam memory cords with a memory effect - the device not only looks beautiful, but also comfortable and comfortable to use. They used about a week, and it should be noted, they sit comfortably on their heads. Despite the use of leather as a material, the ears do not sweat even with a long sock, this is an obvious plus.
In general, Monster clearly focused on the design, releasing headphones in the color "pink gold" and "matte black." About the "golden" do not say, and the color, probably, for an amateur (and for cool peppers like will.i.am), but matte look very cool and stylish. What's the sound?
Monster Elements On-Ear headphones sound perfectly no matter which sound source you connect them to. Bluetooth 4.0 with AptX support and Pure Monster Sound technology reveal the musical potential of both the Android-smartphone and the player. The sound is full, volumetric and crystal clear - the last epithet is usually applied to devices of the category "superpremium". The basses are pronounced, so first of all they should listen to hip-hop. In the subway, of course, extraneous sounds still penetrate: although what we wanted, because in the subway of the train while walking ordinary, and not on a magnetic cushion.
Evaluation of sound is a subjective concept, but nevertheless we will share some impressions. With low and medium frequencies, On-Ear has a complete order, and sometimes highs fail on highs, and so does vocal. But the overall impression and deep bass with a vengeance all compensate. The tracks, which, it would seem, already listened to repeatedly, played quite differently. In general, the headphones behave well with "bass" genres, but they coped with the classics - both on the iPhone 6 and Cowon Plenue S.
The main question that worries many is the battery life time. And here On-Ear is very pleased: they are equipped with a battery with a Stamina mode, which saves battery power in standby mode for up to three weeks.
