Only a few keep production in their country, and the German Maestro is one of them. I have already talked about some models of this company, it's time to take a closer look at the tops of their lineup in the face of GMP435S.

On the one hand, personally I do not care where the factory is located, where a particular product was being assembled, many Chinese factories are now in no way inferior to Germany, and German Maestro makes headphones with an excellent price-quality ratio, so what's the difference where they are . On the other hand, many still believe in the "geography of origin" and make some conclusions on this basis. So their "German" should please.
In general, GMP435S are low-impedance, full-size open headphones with reliable design and neutral sound for fans of monitor feed. They are based on the flagship model GMP400, but have a reduced impedance for use with low-power sources. (the price at the time of writing the review).

Another plus of this model is comfort. The headband is properly clamped, and its size can be adjusted if necessary by moving the head piece in height. In addition, the cups use a proprietary suspension on elastic bands, so they can move with six degrees of freedom, easily and naturally finding the optimum position. To this can be added good ear cushions from high-quality leatherette and a small weight of 240 grams, in total we get very comfortable headphones, simply created for long sessions of relaxed listening.
GMP 435S have an open acoustic design, so they are not suitable for street or office, it's exclusively home headphones. A pleasant bonus in this case is the absence of overheating of the ears.
The wire is not replaceable, but taking into account its thickness and reliability of all connecting elements, it is not necessary to worry about its durability. The cable has a section folded into a "spring", which helps to slightly adjust the length, improving the comfort of wearing.

Before listening to the headphones were warmed for 96 hours. This model is a rather rare case when a prolonged warm-up goes to the headphones for good.
In general, the GMP435S is characterized by a very detailed, slightly light feed without embellishment and distortions of the frequency response. All this makes their sound monitor, focused on the micro-contrast and the disclosure of small nuances.
The bass of this model is fast and elaborate, it's deep enough, without the emphasis on midbass for many headphones. Quantitatively, the LF is slightly less than average, plus they lack the density and strength of impact for styles that are oriented to the amount of bass. However, for genres that do not place LFs at the center of the corner, the 435 pitch is quite suitable, although here it is more a matter of habit and personal preferences.
Medium frequencies are good without any discounts. The only ones to whom they may not like it - fans of blurry MF, often perceived as "musical". The middle of these headphones is fast, detailed, without any tint. They are good at playing out the small nuances of recording and take care of the sound engineer's work. The imaginary scene is very well built in width, but in depth less than average, there is a division of plans, but not as well as other models. The nature of the instruments is carefully preserved, their volume and location are transmitted accurately.
The higher frequencies are less than the 400 models, but still quite a lot. HF in 435 models are submitted without trying to smooth them or somehow mask, so this model is also not very suitable for those who do not like HF. To my ears, the HF of this model is very good, light, airy, full of fading and nuances.
Compatibility
This model works well with different "simple" sources, but it benefits greatly from better ones. Therefore, a good mid-range player or desktop DAC / amplifier will go 435-m in favor.
Genre headphones are especially good with classics, live recordings, jazz, chamber music - those areas where volume and detail are important. At the same time, I fully listened to them and heavy styles, and a complex progressive - all this played out well. Do not use these headphones only for the most bass-oriented genres such as modern pop music. They are moderately critical to the recording quality, these headphones show the disadvantages of recording well, but at the same time it is humane enough, leaving the track obedient, so I would estimate them by about 7 points out of 10 in this parameter.
